The Turn-Stone blog takes its name from the turnstone, a shorebird that uses its bill to flip over rocks in search of food. Similarly, my goal here is to turn over ideas on topics that interest me to explore what lies underneath.
The general theme of Turn-Stone is to how to live, particularly in our increasingly complex, technology-fixated society. In addition, I offer commentary on other topics that interest me—ranging from general subjects like education and sustainability to narrower ones such as humor, words, and beekeeping. To season the fare, I also include poems and stories I have written.
One more thing. The irony is not lost on me of using a blog to critique this society that so distracted by, addicted to, and dependent on technology.
